Meet Gavin S.
Gavin S. is Chief Technology Officer of TotalWeb Partners (TWP) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He leads software engineering, infrastructure and cybersecurity, with responsibility for security and traffic controls across 150 corporate customers.
He is the architect and developer of a multi-site industrial inventory and procurement platform tracking hundreds of millions of dollars in inventory. He applies defense in depth to protect access and data integrity across this and other business applications, combining MFA and role-based permissions with safeguards at the application, database and network layers. His cloud storage integrations keep site files separate, with retention and lifecycle policies that balance availability and cost.
He oversees security for cloud applications and Linux infrastructure, addressing vulnerabilities and responding to DDoS attacks and malware incidents. His backup and recovery approach draws on repeated hands-on restoration during real incidents, pairing incremental local backups with copies across multiple cloud regions.
His broader work includes enterprise systems integration and mobile device management for offline applications. He also develops generative-AI tools with safeguards against prompt injection and misuse, alongside usage controls to manage costs. He selects security controls with regard to business risk and the practical demands of building, operating and recovering customer systems.
