This is a relatively new concept for many businesses that are used to building a brand by simply pushing out products or services via more traditional methods rather than creating compelling content that pulls in customers.

Many B2B companies have started deploying inbound marketing strategies. At the core of those strategies is content marketing. Some 93% of B2B organizations are using some form of content marketing, but less than half (42%) say they’re effective at it.

Social media marketing: it’s about more than nice-looking profiles.

The web is the primary tool in market globalisation. Borders and distance are no longer a hindrance in getting people to buy and sell services or products. Social media marketing is becoming a top priority for many website developers and this is encouraged by the huge success of the popular social media channels.

Various social media channels have millions of users around the globe and this makes these channels the perfect target for digital marketing. These channels are more than just a meeting spot where people can make friends. Marketers are using the potential of these channels in various social media marketing strategies as these systems are great for advertising.
Five of the most promising social media channels today are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Though they are all using different mechanisms for networking, the concept stays the same. Why Website Optimization is Out and Website Marketability is in

Why website optimization is out and website marketability is in.

Read how Crain’s Detroit Business lays out Website Marketability, explains SEO, and defines the value of a website as being related to it’s structure, content, and evolution.

Of all articles in our blog, this is the most important to us as it explains how internet marketing works in 2015, noting that this precisely matches TotalWeb Partner’s value proposition.

“Building a site is not an end game, it is just the first step… and all of TWP’s standard offers include ongoing support, updating, and marketing to meet the requirements of marketing on-line in 2015.”

Google’s Mobile-Ranking Showdown Kick Off; By Forbes

Google’s Mobile-Ranking Showdown Kick Off.  If your site is not mobile friendly, contact TWP today to learn about our RWD conversions.

Google is putting its foot down for websites that aren’t tailored to our increasingly-ubiquitous mobile screens.

From Tuesday April 21, websites that aren’t deemed “mobile friendly” by Google’s own analysis tool will fall lower in search rankings than those that do, which could mean dips in revenue for companies who depend heavily on web traffic.

There were some big names among those who still didn’t make the cut on Monday, based on a few cursory searches of Google’s free testing tool. Microsoft’s Windows Phones homepage didn’t have a mobile-friendly design, because the text on the site was “too small to read” and links were too close together.

The home page for The Daily Mail and Italian fashion company Versace were also at risk of falling lower in search rankings because they weren’t up to par.

The update will take place in real time, so once organizations make their websites more mobile friendly they can expect to be re-indexed by Google soon afterwards.

“Mobilegeddon” Is Coming on April 21 – Are You Ready?

“Mobilegeddon” Is Coming on April 21 – Are You Ready?

Few things get a webmaster’s attention quite like waking up to a Twitter feed filled with news about a major algorithm update. In the world of SEO, hummingbirds, pandas, and penguins are akin to the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Most algorithm updates come with vague or no warning, but Google recently announced, “Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results.”

Game on Google – Time to Prepare for Mobilegeddon

Google may have announced the update early, but it hasn’t exactly been forthcoming with details. Webmaster trends analyst Gary Illyes did share a few details in a recent Q&A.

Most notably:

  • Responsive design does not have a ranking benefit
  • Googlebot must be allowed to crawl CSS & JavaScript to pass the “mobile-friendly” test
  • Mobile friendliness is determined at the page level – not sitewide
  • Tablets will not be affected by this update
  • Google is currently working on a dedicated mobile index

Everything You Need To Know About Google’s New Stance On Mobile

But things are getting even bigger. Google isn’t satisfied with the biggest piece of the pie for devices, search, and apps. They might eventually own the airwaves, too (maybe). The purpose of this article is to tell you what’s going down with Google’s mobile stance, and what you need to do in response.

Google Will Revamp Their Search Algorithm To Favor Mobile-Friendly Sites.
According to Google Webmaster Central, Google will be rolling out the most significant mobile algorithm change to date:

Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal.
